Five on a Friday
1. My website is up with everything I have written on recovering from PTSD since the book Recovering From the War on it for free at http://www.patiencepress.com/patience_press/PTSD_Help-Gazettes.html. You can download and print and share all of it. Bob worked on it for weeks, and it looks good. I have gotten some good responses on it already.
2. I can swim to the big rock without stopping! 150 crawl strokes gets me there. When I first got here I could not do it, had to stop, got breathless, dizzy and my fingers went numb, which scared me. But I can do it now. Yippeee! Did it twice today. My dog Maggie swims with me and on the way back we stop at Old Yellowstone (named such by my mother and aunts when they were kids) and since she thinks she can't stand on an underwater rock, she puts her paws on my arm and stands on the rock with her hind legs and I hug her. It is very sweet.
3. I just finished the last bit of work on Missing Dog Tags by Kenneth Eaton, the book my company, Patience Press, is publishing. It is a memoir by a Korean War POW, fast moving and painful to read about what he went through. I had to do my own Cataloging in Publication block because until you have published 3 books or something the Library of Congress won't do it for you. The librarian in Norway helped me (Norway, Maine). I also wrote the back cover copy, which Bob rewrote. We will send it off to Lightning Source (Ingram's POD). I use them for Recovering.
4. Maggie stayed home all day. She's been sneaking off whenever she hears kids playing, and we have been working on getting her to stay here. She did!
5. I can't sit still. I have horrible pains in one of my legs if I do. If I get up and toss the ball for Maggie or look at the woods and walk a bit or hunt for acorn caps and stuff for my bugs, it stops hurting. I think this will be good for my physical fitness! I have gotten up every half hour or so all day.
