New Years Resolutions
I never had much luck with these and I wrote about them back in 1999 in the Post-Traumatic Gazette. Here's a link to the article which I posted om my Facebook PTSD discussion page.
I found it pretty helpful to reread it myself! I wrote it for veterans and trauma survivors and their family members but some of you  might find it amusing or even helpful.
Last year didn't seem to go the way I wanted it to. I did not write much. I didn't sort out my house.  Good things did happen, however. Bob and I survived some health challenges. We got each other a roomba for Christmas after seeing our friend Lois' roomba work up in Maine. Dog hair begone! It is a miracle and also very amusing to watch.  (We're old).
We've had lovely cool weather all fall and really cold crank up the wood stove weather recently here in the north woods of Florida. I love that. Today is warm again and I was sitting out on the porch and a mosquito landed on my hand. Grrr!
I'm going to leave my harsh self criticism and the urge to just give up in the old year and take with me the twelve steps, my friends and family, and my capacity to grow and change into the new year.
